the creation, control, and use of them.

power, media, information, misinformation, semantics, sociology, culture: counter-culture/over the counter culture, chaos, order, law, code, organized crime, databases, marketing, consumerism, transportation, etc.
mediocrity and triviality?
the beauty of simplicity and subtlety

How does one system react and relate to another?
friction, contraction, construction & deconstruction
The creation of something new out of something old.
In 1994 at the dawn of the "dot com" explosion I became extremely interested in the topic of human interaction with technology and nonlinear information. Much of my work during this time deals with the internet and code. Pushing forward, investigating these topics, I became increasingly intrigued with perception and coded language. Through that process I realized how drawn I am to exploring the organization and chaos of complex systems. This is not to say that the interpretations of the above ideas are non-personal or scientific. Much of my inspiration and motivation to explore specific systems comes from my daily visual vocabulary and life experiences.
